January Favourites

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover
I love this, it makes the horrible task of nail polish removing, much easier and quicker. Well worth the money!

Nivea Honey & Milk Lip Balm
After getting a Nivea lip balm set for Christmas, I have been using all of them constantly  this is just one one I have been reaching for the most. I didn't think I would like, as I am not a big fan of the scent of honey, but it isn't that strong at all. It leaves your lips feeling much more nourished.

Natural Collection Vanilla Spray
Again another Christmas pressie! This is a lovely sweet scent, exactly like vanilla extract, you use in cakes. I have been using this so much this much and will continue to.

Rimmel London Lash Acceleration
I love the wand on this mascara, it adds a colour carbon black to my lashes, gives them a little volume and length. I did a full in depth review here.

St Ives Invigorating Scrub
This really makes your skin feel so much better, it just take away all the gim from the day, it also smells lovely. I did feature it in a post not so long ago, with what I like to pair it with here.

What have you been loving this month?
Hasn't January gone by so quick?!

Dermatologica Cleanser
At the moment I am trying to get down on some samples, I found this in the midst of the collection and thought I would try it. Perhaps a mind blowing product, did the job. I could also use this to get off my mascara, which was handy. It was a really nice product to use, unsure whether it had any 'calming' effects.

Dove Firming Body Wash
This was okay, it smelled quite fresh, there was no firming effects to my skin. Not sure whether it is something that develops after a few showers using this product.

Garnier 7 days Intense Lotion (Shea Butter)
I really love Garnier's body lotions, this smells wonderful and really does give your skin a little boost. After, I have used up my Mango one, I will probably buy the full size of this one.

Photobucket Garnier Summer Body (Light Sun Kissed)
I was worried that the darker one, would make me look...perhaps on the orange side. So I settled for this one, to be honest it didn't really do much but my friend Jenny had the darker one, and now I realise I should have got the other one. Well until next summer, I will remember which one to buy.

Photobucket Alberto Balsam Blueberry Shampoo & Conditioner
Me 'raving' about their shampoos and conditioners, I didn't think their would be a scent that I wouldn't like. How wrong was I...I don't what it is about the scent of these but it isn't really a nice one for me anyway. My friend Izzy also doesn't like this...(have you tried this, do you like it?)

What have you emptied recently?

OPI Rapid Dry Top Coat

I was super excited to try this out, after hearing a few good things about opi's top coats. I got this in "The Minnie Mouse" collection last Summer. I suppose it is, perhaps weird that I have only started to use it. I was having a bit of a clear out of old make-up/nail polish that I didn't use all that much and came across this, applied it when I did my nails and thought  I would review it.
It does what it says on the tin, it drys fairly quickly, I would say it does prolong your nail polish perhaps for 5-6 days, which is pretty good. When this is used up, I probably won't be rushing out to buy the full one, I prefer sticking to Sally Hansen top coats.

What is your favorite top coat?

Project Pan #1

I recently did a post titled "Save & Spend Scheme". But before I buy some of these goodies, I must get down on products which are half empty, almost empty or just taking up space!

Elf Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette
I used to love this the colours in this palette are such lovely neutral shades. For some, I have simply gone off of eye shadows, I think some times it might be the effort of putting it off. But I want to start using this again and also get it gone.

MUA Waterproof Mascara

Although this mascara is not true to its words (it being waterproof) it is really good at giving your lashes some volume as well as length and colour. The one thing I don't like about is the wand it is really small.

Natural Collection Foundation
Quite sheer coverage, doesn't really last that long on the face, perhaps 4-5 hours. Just want to use this up to make way for my Maybelline foundation which I am hoping to get.

Collection (2000) Lasting Colour Mascara
I went through a phase of loving this and now it has just to the back of my make-up draw. I want to start using it again, as I loved it so much, it just gives your lashes a nice little boost without maing them too dramatic.

Rimmel London Day 2 Night Mascara
I kind of loved and hated this mascara, what I hate that it gives my lashes a really clumpy look. I want to use it up, but I might have to find away to use it up and not get clumpy lashes.

Miss Sporty Matte Foundation
This is a really nice foundation, quite light on the coverage front, but great if you don't have anything to hide (blemish wise). I just want to use this up to make way for my Maybelline one.

NYC High Definition Mascara
Liking this to start with, it has sort of made my lashes slightly on the clumpy side which has made me slightly annoyed as I really like the wand and that it can make your lashes super black.

Natural Collection Concealer
I bought this to use as a eye shadow primer, but as I went off eye shadow I didn't use it for that. I started to use it as a concealer, it worked quite well but as I want to get the infamous one my Collection (2000) I need to use this one up to make way.

I got this for Christmas from the lovely Izzy (definitely recommend popping over to her blog, if you haven't already!) Let's just put it out there, I lovessie nail polishes! I know I only have 1 at the moment. But I so want to get more. I love the consistency of them. The brush is awesome, for the reason that it is slightly rounded. You do have to have at least two coats, but you get that with any polishes. I love that in this nail polish it has glittery undertones (purple and blue), which may not be to everyone's cup of tea but I think it adds a certain depth to a nail polish. The glitter can only really be seen in certain lights. With a standard top coat essie nail polishes last around 4-5 days, which is brilliant.

What are you favorite shades from essie?
(would love to know, as I want to get some more!)

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

This has been quite a popular item in the youtube and blogging world. I thought, I had to get my hands on it as I am always painting my nails. Luckily this was gifted to me for Christmas. What annoys me the most with bog standard cotton wool is that the glitter always rips off.
I really love this product! Although quite expensively priced at £4.99, there are other products similar to this which won't clear out your purse as much. But I don't think these are, as good quality as the one by Bourjois.
When you open the lid the smell is quite strong. Referring to the packaging Bourjois claim it takes '1 second, per nail'. We all know that isn't true, it takes more like 20-30 but still super quick! I love that after the nail polish remover has dried, your nails smell fruity. I have tried it at getting off glitter to and it does do a superb job but takes a little longer.

Have you tried, any of these type of products?

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Spray

Photobucket

I thought I would buy this because, sometimes I am in a rush to do my nails and just want them dry so I can be doing other things and the gimmick of the product intrigued me. As it was new it also had money off.
Some people say it has no scent but, I think it has a little smell, but I can't really describe what it smells like but it is not a horrid smell maybe slightly chemically?
It only works well when you apply a thin coat of nail polish. Because if you  spray after a dollop of polish it will not dry it. You can spray it on your nails and let it dry, then apply another coat of polish.
What I like to do is use it to dry my top coat. It has lasted me quite a long time but when I use it all up I probably won't buy it again unless it maybe on offer.

Have you bought this?

A Perfect Pair

These are a perfect pair in my eyes, after using St Ives Apricot Invigorating Scrub. Which leaves my skin feeling like it can start from a clean sheet, defiantly softer. This smells so fruity just like apricots (you don't say?). Although perhaps making it feel a little on the sensitive side.
Well have no fear Good Things Face The Day Moisturiser comes to the rescue a gives your face that well earned drink. I have never really heard of a product being "free from parabens" which is actually quite nice to hear as you know that no chemicals were just chucked in there. Although perhaps on the more expensive side of moisturisers it is worth every penny you also don't have to apply a huge dollop.

What are you favorite skin care products?

A Citrus Twist

Yipee! My school decided  to have a snow day, which is great because I have a Science exam tomorrow. I have filled the day mostly with revision but now I am having a little break (for now anyway). I suppose these sort of items could be classed as "Summer Showering Products" but who cares, sometimes you just fancy a little pick me up. One on my favorite scent genres is citrus and I have found a group of products which make my shower a citrus haven!

Photobucket

Alberto balsam Shampoo & Conditioner
This has to be my most raved about budget shampoo and conditioner, they have a wonderful selection of scents. (My fave are the above) They make your hair feel utterly fresh, clean and silky soft.

Wake Up Lime Shower Creme
This shower gel is so zingy, it feels as if you have been sent to a tropical island (maybe not that far). This maybe one of the many dupes for the "Original Source range". There are many other exciting flavors to explore like Mango, Coconut and Pomegranate

Extracts Lemon & Bergamot Body Butter
After the fruity shower, this just ends it nicely. Quite fresh but not in your face lemony. This just sinks in like a treat.

Are you having a snow day?
What are your favorite items to use in your shower?

Rimmel Lash Acceleration

Hello, so I'm back! This got popped in my letterbox the other day all packaged in an envelop. I wasn't sure where this came from or who sent it. I have never heard of this mascara by Rimmel, I started to use this and really love it! So I thought I would review it.

P11102233
It says that it has a "Grow Lash Complex" so it also helps your lashes grow longer and thicker, I think...which I know it has done to mine. What I love about this is the wand. It is smaller at the tip and it gets larger as it goes down to the base of the mascara, the bristles are also super short. Which means you can grab all those little lashes too!
It coats them really well making them super black, this mascara also gives your lashes a bit of volume too!
I am a little unsure about the greeny yellow colour of the packaging but I really like the shape of it as it is quite original, it also gives you something to grip onto when apply it.
So a good mascara all round.

Have you seen this mascara?
Will you check it out?
